Doris Behrens-Abouseif
Prof. Dr. Doris Behrens-Abouseif holds the chair of Islamic Art and
Archaeology at SOAS, University of London. She studied at the American University in Cairo and in Germany at the University of Hamburg and the University of Freiburg. Before joining SOAS in 2000, she taught Islamic Art at the American University in Cairo and at the Universities of Freiburg and Munich in Germany. She is member of the Academia Europaea.
