Journals

Journals covering the academic fields Theology and Religion, Psychology, Linguistics and Literary studies, History, Classical Studies and Economics are important components of the V&R publishing programme. For a very long time now V&R’s journals cover an impressive range of academic fields – it started with the journal Göttingische Gelehrten Anzeigen (Report from Göttingen’s Scholars) founded in 1739, followed by the practical journal Homiletische Monatshefte (Homiletic Monthly Issue) now published for 86 years and continued by the newly founded Journal of Ancient Judaism.
Journals published by V&R present research results and deal with discussions that are indispensable for practical and theoratical sciences. A lot of important societies use the journals as organs for their disciplines.

As of 2008, subscription to the journals listed here includes access to their digital versions via this website. In case you haven't subscribed, you can nevertheless download single articles.
