Early Modern Times
Many individual publications and series from the V&R program are concerned with the Early Modern Era, the transitional time from the Medieval to the Modern Era. Themes treated often refer to the frictions that arose between relgion, politics and science. New approaches to European History and to the study of the Early Modern Era may be found in the publications of the Institute for European History in Mainz as well as the publication series of the Historical Commission of the Bavarian Academy of Sciences and the series entitled Environment and Society.
