Novum Testamentum et Orbis Antiquus/Studien zur Umwelt des Neuen Testaments (NTOA/StUNT)

About this series

The series NOVUM TESTAMENTUM ET ORBIS ANTIQUUS (NTOA) is edited by Max Küchler (Fribourg), Peter Lampe (Heidelberg), Gerd Theißen (Heidelberg) und Jürgen Zangenberg (Leiden) and offers studies which discuss the multifaceted cultural environment of the New Testament with scholarly precision and interdisciplinary methodology.
The Series Archaeologica (SA) follows this program in a specific way, presenting material culture as first-hand archaeological evidence for the environment of early Judaism and the New Testament. It includes original excavation reports, corpora of specific types of findings, buildings or objects and studies in iconography, numismatics and epigraphy.
Designed as an international, inter-religious forum for scholarship in Biblical studies, archaeology, ancient history and Ancient Near Eastern studies, NTOA and NTOA.SA will publish contributions in English, French and German.
