It is a lack of the high literature density of works about the subject that these ones mostly remains circumscribing without a basic constiutional-juridicial processing. Therefore, in contrast to other works this one is not only about the Prussian constitutional promises generally (1806-1819) but in particular – if still reachabel – around all kinds of proposals and draughts.
These documents, which were predominantly taken from the “Geheimen Staatsarchiv Preußischer Kulturbesitz” in Berlin, are examined in a constitutional-comparative way with the help of the exam points ,Form of government’, ,Regionalism’, ,Single freedoms’ and ,Jurisdiction’ not only together but with German comparative constitutions of the so called ,Frühkonstitutionalismus’. Besides this, the work tries to figure out the manoeuvres of the opponents of a Prussian constitution introduction, above all Wittgenstein and Metternich as well as the role of the Prussian king Friedrich Wilhelm III during this period.
In the appendix there are several transcriptions – often published for the first time.
