As a university institution, the Center for Evaluation and Methods (ZEM) works within a synergetic enviroment of academic teaching and research on the one hand and contract research and consultancy services on the other. Since its foundation in 1999, a diverse range of projects has been carried out at the ZEM, exploiting its combination of competencies to the full to conduct research and carry out consultancy work and surveys. Over time, evaluation and quality assurance, surveys and statistics as well as the development and application of methods have become the main fields of specialization at the ZEM. The institution can draw on many years of experience gained and intensified in these areas through cooperation with numerous academic and commercial partners and clients.
On the occasion of the ZEM’s 10th anniversary, this volume, published as part of the Applied Research in Psychology and Evaluation Series, provides an insight into the broad variety of projects, which provide a solid foundation and offer favourable prospects for future ventures.
