Creativity is seen as a characteristic of prominent people who are highly admired. People believe that these creative people, due to their talents, can bring about new and extraordinary changes playfully, inspired by a muse or driven by secret powers.
Modern sciences stripped creativity from its secret. The author describes the general understanding of essential elements of creativity: talent, knowledge, motivation, personal characteristics and living conditions. Five phases of the creative process are described: preparation, incubation, illumination, realisation and verification. The analysis of creative personalities and processes show that their ability is drawn from their encounters in school, job, sciences, culture, economy and politics.
