"Remembering" and "forgetting" are ubiquitous phenomena in the context of literary history. There are many authors that no one remembers, because socio-cultural change often changes the context for collective memory processes. Almost-forgotten writer Karl Christian Müller (pseudonym: Teut Ansolt) from the county of Saarland is phenomenological evidence of this. Since the late Weimar Republic, he has been one of the most prominent and controversial "leaders" and authors of the German Youth Movement. In post-war Germany he took on cultural tasks in a prominent position, which included chairman of the "Saarland Author Association" and the "Saarland Cultural Committee" as well as managing director of the "Germany-Foundation". He also committed himself to maintaining the reconstruction and the establishment of "Trucht" as an autonomous group of boys. His work includes poetry, drama, and amateur dramatics, several short stories and novellas, critical writings as well as his late work, which identifies him both as an outstanding poet of nature and a historical poet with a passion for experiment.
