The University Press Osnabrück was founded in March 1995. Since January 2003 the University of Osnabrück and V&R unipress GmbH cooperate. Under company law the University Press Osnabrück belongs to the publishing house V&R unipress. The university manages the publishing programme via the academic board of the president and oversees the performance of the publishing house as it was agreed on.
